B.Med.Tech (Medical Laboratory Technology)

Selection Criteria for B. Med. Tech Course

The students have been selected according to the marks obtained in the Matriculation examination. There is no gender discrimination.

Duration of the course- 4 classes & total duration 4 years

Personal & Professional Development Programme is included from the first year to the fourth year throughout the course.

* Mobile Laboratory for community is conducted as an extracurricular activity in the third year.

Career of B.Med.Tech & M.Med.Tech (MLT) graduates

As teaching staff in University of Medical Technology, Yangon & Mandalay
As Medical technologists and physiotherapist in public as well as private hospitals and clinics and Non Government organizations (NGOs)
can also work in the National Health Laboratory, Department of Medical Research, Food and Drug Administration, Criminal Investigation Department, Communicable Diseases Control Programs and Laboratories of various universities, institutes, colleges and schools.

Regulation and Standardization system for Medical Technology

Outcome based integrated curriculum is conducted in both B.Med.Tech & M.Med.Tech (MLT) courses and reviewed and revised every year to meet the international standard
